" As a parent, 25 years ago I wanted books that I could read to my own kids that represented our beliefs and traditions. Or at the very least didn't represent a bunch of ideas and concepts we did not subscribe to. I could find nothing. I went to several publishers of what were considered witchcraft books at the time and was told that there just wasn't a market for these books. Now as a grandparent I am able to change that narrative. I'm able to pass down our beliefs and traditions to others who are of like minds."
Cassandra Witta was raised by a strong-willed parent who taught her everything she had been taught as a child. Thus, the Franklin Family Tradition was born. It is a mix of Celtic, Nordic, Swedish and Apache traditions that were brought into the family from different members throughout time. Is it a bastardization? Absolutely. Much like all traditions and much of human history, it was born from necessity. We kept what worked and left behind what didn't.
