Meet Bruce Berglund, who will be at Zenith Bookstore to sign copies of his recent book The Fastest Game in the World. This global history of a global sport draws upon research conducted around the world in a variety of languages. From Canadian prairies to Swiss mountain resorts, Soviet housing blocks to American suburbs, Berglund takes readers on an international tour, seamlessly weaving in hockey’s local, national, and international trends. He has written for the Washington Post and CNN Opinion. He taught history at Calvin College and the University of Kansas and is the author of Castle and Cathedral in Modern Prague.
