The next Neilson Hays Library book sale is scheduled from Saturday, October 29 to Sunday, November 6 (Monday, October 31 closed) during regular library hours, 9:30-17:00. We will again be holding the book sale inside the Library itself.
We have fiction and non-fiction books in English and Thai, donated by Neilson Hays Library supporters or withdrawn from the library shelves. Whether your book preference is science fiction, the latest thrillers, art, history or philosophy, we will find something for you. There is also a lovely selection for the kids and some stunning old and rare books as well as DVDs and magazines. Prices start at only 20 baht.
Because of the limited space, the only books for sale at any point, are the ones that are out in the library space. We will replenish books daily as space opens up on the tables. So better to come in a few times rather than coming once and expecting to see everything. We encourage visitors to bring their own bags in order to help us reduce waste, or Neilson Hays Library tote bags can be purchased from the cashier.
And since the book sale will be inside the Library building, normal Library activities (except Children’s Story Time) will be suspended during this period. You will be able to return books throughout the period, but books (except children’s' books) can only be withdrawn on weekdays during the book sale.
And please wear face masks at all times while inside the Library (only exception being children under 2 years of age).

ตั้งแต่เวลา 9:30 น. - 16:00 น.
ทางหอสมุดนิลเซนเฮส์จะจัดงานขายหนังสือมือสองครั้งสุดท้ายของปี เริ่มตั้งแต่วันเสาร์ ที่ 29 ตุลาคม ไปจนถึงวันอาทิตย์ ที่ 6 พฤศจิกายน (ปิดวันจันทร์ ที่ 31 ตุลาคม) ในช่วงเวลาเปิดทำการของเรา คือ 9:30-17:00 น. และจะจัดที่บริเวณภายในอาคารหอสมุดฯ อีกครั้ง
ที่งานนี้เรามีหนังสือประเภทต่างๆให้เลือกมากมายทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ซึ่งมีผู้อุปการคุณบริจาคมาให้เรา และยังมีบางส่วนที่เราดึงออกมาจากชั้นหนังสือของเราเอง โดยงานนี้เราจำหน่ายทั้งหนังสือประเภทนิยาย สอบสวนลึกลับ วิทยาศาสตร์ ศิลปะ ประวัติศาสตร์ และปรัชญา ท่านลองแวะมาเลือกดูที่เราได้ ทั้งยังมีหนังสือเด็ก หนังสือเก่าและหนังสือหายากอีกมากมาย ซึ่งนอกจากหนังสือแล้ว เราก็ยังมีซีดีและดีวีดีจำหน่ายอีกด้วย โดยราคาเริ่มต้นเพียง 20B ซึ่งคุณอาจจะพบบางสิ่งที่น่าสนใจติดไม้ติดมือกลับบ้านไป
และเนื่องจากว่าเรามีพื้นที่จำกัด หนังสือที่เก็บไว้ในคลังสินค้าเพื่อรอจำหน่ายไม่สามารถนำออกมาให้ท่านเลือกซื้อเลือกหาภายในครั้งเดียวได้ทั้งหมด แต่อย่างไรทางเราก็จะหมั่นเติมหนังสือขึ้นโต๊ะจำหน่ายเมื่อมีพื้นที่ว่าง ซึ่งท่านอาจจะต้องกลับมาดูหนังสือขึ้นโต๊ะใหม่ๆในวันต่อไปที่จัดงาน ทั้งนี้ทางเราขออนุญาตเรียนแจ้งให้ท่านนำกระเป๋ามาเองเพื่อช่วยลดปริมาณขยะ หรือซื้อกระเป๋าผ้าของหอสมุดฯ ได้จากแคชเชียร์
เนื่องจากการขายหนังสือจะอยู่ภายในอาคารหอสมุดฯ ดังนั้นกิจกรรมปกติของเราจะถูกระงับไปก่อนในช่วงงานนี้ (แต่กิจกรรมเล่านิทานสำหรับเด็กยังคงจัดอยู่) โดยทางสมาชิกหอสมุดฯ สามารถคืนหนังสือได้ตลอดเวลา แต่การยืมหนังสือสามารถทำได้ในวันธรรมดาเท่านั้น ในช่วงที่เราจัดงานขายหนังสือนี้ (แต่หนังสือเด็กยังคงยืมคืนได้ตามปกติ)
ขอเรียนแจ้งให้ท่านกรุณาให้ความร่วมมือสวมหน้ากากอนามัยตลอดเวลาที่อยู่ภายในอาคารหอสมุดฯ (ยกเว้นเด็กอายุต่ำกว่า 2 ปีเท่านั้น)
และโปรดใช้ความอดทนในช่วงเวลาที่มีคนจำนวนมากเข้าแถวต่อคิวยาว ซึ่งท่านอาจต้องรอนาน โดยที่วันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์นั้นจะมีผู้เข้าใช้บริการเป็นจำนวนมากกว่าช่วงวันธรรมดา หากท่านสามารถมาในวันธรรมดาที่ไม่ใช่เสาร์อาทิตย์ได้จะเป็นการดีที่สุด ซึ่งสถานที่ก็จะเงียบกว่าและคนไม่พลุกพล่านมากนัก ท่านจะมีความสะดวกในการเลือกดูหนังสือลดราคาของเราได้อย่างเต็มที่
