Opening the Festival of Archaeology at Salisbury Museum for 2024 is the launch of the new book ‘Tales of Two Cities: Settlement and Suburb in Old Sarum and Salisbury’ a multi authored book bringing together the expertise of Alex Langlands, Innes Lopez, Lorraine Mepham, Hadrian Cook, Phil Harding, Chris Daniel and Geoff Lang.This exclusive evening will commence with a brief introduction by Alex Langlands, followed by opportunity to meet all the co-authors involved in this fascinating drawing together and fresh insight into the story of Old Sarum and the move to the new city. Light refreshments will be available before you are invited to explore the museum’s brand new Salisbury Galleries showing a collection reflecting the area’s history as detailed in the book
