About this Event

David Cooper – Co-Director of the Centre for Place Writing in the School of English at Manchester Met – will introduce his new book Reading Place Writing: Geography, Form, Immersion, 2010-2020 (Liverpool University Press/English Association). The book is a literary / geographical examination of how, during the 2010s, creative non-fiction writers explored ‘the undiscovered country of the nearby’ (Robert Macfarlane). David will be in conversation with Jean Sprackland (Professor of Creative Writing).
