Hosted by the Education in Small States Research Group (ESSRG) Centre for Comparative and International Research in Education (CIRE)

Speakers:

  • Agustian Sutrisno (Atma Jaya Catholic University, Jakarta)
  • Sargam Goundar (University of Otago, New Zealand)
  • Kim Andreas Kessler (University of Otago, New Zealand)

Join us to celebrate the launch of the new book , published by Bristol University Press.

The session will be chaired by Professor Michael Crossley, Series Editor of the Bristol Studies in Comparative and International Education book series. The first part of the session will be a presentation from the editors, Rosie Alexander and Holly Henderson, who will offer an overview of the rationale for the publication, and the key contributions of the volume. Then we will hear from the authors of two of the chapters. Agustian Sutrisno will speak about ‘Underdeveloped, Frontier and Outermost: Small Island Universities in Indonesia’; and Sargam Goundar and Kim Andreas Kessler will speak about “The Perceived Quality of Higher Education in Oceania: Autoethnographic Insights from the Regional University.” At the end of the session there will be time for questions and answers and open discussion.
