<h4>About the Contributors</h4>

Jenny Bates has seven poetry books, published in numerous NC and international journals. She presented at the 2023 Ecopoetics and Environmental Aesthetics Conference, London. Jenny was a judge for the Poetry in Plain Sight contest through the NC Poetry Society, 2024. Her book of poems, ESSENTIAL, Redhawk Publications 2023 has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize 2024. Her newest collection, From Soil and Soul is available through Redhawk Publications.

Shannon Golden’s publication history includes only scientific and technical writing, related to a career in research. As an emerging creative writer, she is focusing her talents on flash fiction and creative nonfiction. She is a member of Winston-Salem Writers and, until recently, never knew a critique group could be so much fun.

John J. Hohn grew up in the Midwest and graduated from St. John's University (MN) in 1961. In 2007, he retired at the age of 68 closing out a career of more than 40 years in the financial services industry. His published works include two novels and a random poem or two. He is the co-founder of 40+ Stage Company and has appeared frequently on stage over the past 40 years with local 144 community theater companies. He and his wife Melinda reside in Winston-Salem. His five children and stepson are spread far and wide across the country.

Emily Wilson is a writer of coming-of-age and contemporary fiction. She is currently unpublished. When she's not busy writing, Wilson works full-time as a mental health counselor for children and teens.
