Book launch event - Eoin McLaughlin - The Inclusive Wealth of Nations
About this Event
We are welcoming Eoin McLaughlin to the library this summer to celebrate the launch of his book - The Inclusive Wealth of Nations.
We're in a hole in Britain and we're still digging, going through another Prime Minister every couple of years.
A big part of Eoin McLaughlin's book, The Inclusive Wealth of Nations, is about why other countries' economies gradually overtook Britain's. There's much more to it than that - he's picking up pretty much where Adam Smith left off, leaning as much on Theory of Moral Sentiments as The Wealth of Nations.
Expect Eoin, in conversation with Robbie Mochrie, our Errorist in Residence, to take relative decline as his starting point for explaining what we've learned about managing current economic challenges over the last 250 years.
