English poet Oli Hazzard presents Sleepers Awake, his third collection and first U.S. publication, with a launch at Greenlight! A brilliantly inventive book of poems from a fierce poetic voice, Sleepers Awake emerges from the daily disarray of care and work, nature and technology with ambitious, formally various poems and dreamy, cross-temporal dialogues. By way of satirical, allusive, tender, hopeful poems, Sleepers Awake makes spaces for intimacy with the reader. Joining him onstage is American poet and critic Maureen McLane (My Poetics), for an in-depth discussion on the book, followed by an audience Q&A and signing.
