About this Event

IN-STORE EVENT:Tuesday, April 23, 7:30pm
Greg Wrenn presents Mothership: A Memoir of Wonder and Crisis

Weaving together memoir and 70 peer-reviewed scientific articles, Mothership is not only a brave, queer coming-of-age story. It's also a deeply researched account of how ayahuasca and endangered coral reefs helped Greg save his life and heal from complex PTSD, waking up his ecological conscience along the way. From the tide pools in Florida where he grew up, to Indonesia’s Raja Ampat archipelago and the Amazon rainforest, Greg takes his readers on a journey across the globe. He dives into both the ocean and the psyche, and finds they have a lot in common. This is Greg's audacious search for wholeness when talk therapy and pharmaceuticals did little to help. But will doses of nature be enough to save us before it’s too late? Greg discusses his work, along with a reading and book signing.
