Debut novelist (and independent bookseller) Aaron John Curtis launches his astonishing coming-of-middle-age tale Old School Indian at Greenlight! Following a Mohawk / Ahkwesáhsne man across two timelines—as he leaves the reservation for the first time and comes of age in 1991; and in his reluctant return home—Old School Indian is a striking exploration of the resonance of love and family, culture and history. Curtis, himself a member of the Mohawk tribe and a bookseller at Miami's Books & Books, reads from and discusses the book with Mateo Askaripour (New York Times bestselling author of Black Buck), followed by an audience Q&A and signing.
