We're rolling into spring with a huge reading! Join us for this bonkers quadruple-header, featuring...NICHOLAS GULIG (he/him) is a Thai American poet from Wisconsin. He is the author The Other Altar (The Center for Literary Publishing, 2024) Orient (Cleveland State University Poetry Center, 2018), Book of Lake (CutBank, 2016), and North of Order (YesYes Books, 2015). A 2011 Fulbright Fellow to Bangkok, Thailand, Gulig has received numerous awards for his work, including the Ruskin Art Club Poetry Award, the Black Warrior Review Poetry Prize, and the Grist ProForma Award. In 2023, he was appointed poet laureate of Wisconsin through 2024 and received an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship. Currently, Gulig works as an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and lives in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with his wife and two daughters.
AMANDA HAWKINS’ (they/them) debut poetry collection, When I Say the Bones I Mean the Bones, is just out with Wandering Aengus Press. They are a Tin House, Bread Loaf, and Mellon Public Scholar, winner of the Editor’s Prize for poetry from The Florida Review and the Emerging Writer Award from Key West Literary Seminar. Their work has been nominated for three Pushcart Prizes and published in Image, Orion, The Cincinnati Review, The Cortland Review, Honey Literary, and Terrain.
JESSE LEE KERCHEVAL (she/her) is a writer, translator, and artist. Her most recent poetry collections are I Want to Tell You (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2023)and America that island off the coast of France (Tupelo Books, 2019), winner of the Dorset Prize. Her memoir Space won an Alex Award from the American Library Association and her latest book, the graphic memoir French Girl, was named a 10 Best Graphic Novels of 2024 by the Washington Post.
NANCY REDDY (she/her) is the author of The Good Mother Myth. Her previous books include the poetry collection Pocket Universe and the anthology The Long Devotion: Poets Writing Motherhood, which she co-edited with Emily Pérez. Her essays have appeared in Slate, Poets & Writers, Romper, The Millions, and elsewhere. She writes the newsletter Write More, Be Less Careful.
