*About the Discussants -*
Prathama Banerjee is a historian at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), Delhi. She is the author of the _Politics of Time: 'Primitives' and History Writing in a Colonial Society_ (2006) and _Elementary Aspects of the Political: Histories from the Global South_ (2020).
Dickens Leonard teaches at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD). His work focuses on the nineteenth-century Tamil intellectual Iyothee Thass, anti caste thought and Tamil cinema.
P.K. Yasser Arafath teaches in the Department of History at the University of Delhi. He is the editor of _Sultana's Sisters: Genres, Gender, and Genealogy in South Asian Muslim Women's Fiction_ (with Haris Qadeer, 2021) and _The Hijab: Islam, Women, and the Politics of Clothing_ (with G. Arunima, 2022).
