Book Club Workshop - The Picture of Dorian Gray
Hey/As-salaam wa alayikum book lovers!
Join us for a 2in1 talk from Sheikh Rayhan Jubayer & in-person workshop by MFT exploring "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde!
We'll be exploring & adding an islamic outlook on 3 specific themes:
- Self-Image
- Temptation
- Shame & Guilt
It's a great chance to share your thoughts, hear different perspectives, and enjoy some good company. Whether you're an avid reader or beginner, this event is open to all BROTHERS & SISTERS!
There will be free snacks, soft drinks & tea/coffee :))

Meet & Greet
Info: Get to meet the brothers or sisters (segregated event), grab some snacks & beverages, and settle in before we start the workshop

Talk from Sheikh Rayhan Jubayer
Info: Sheikh Rayhan will discuss how the deen will tie into themes discussed in the book and provide advice to carry forward in our relationship with Allah (AWJ).
🕑: 04:00 PM - 05:30 PM
Workshop Begins (1.5 hour)
Info: Introduction to MFT, WICC & Chosen Charity, then straight into exploring those 3 core themes of Self-Image, Temptation & Guilt and adding an Islamic lens when discussing them.
🕑: 05:30 PM - 06:00 PM
Post-Event
Info: Exchange details, pick up conversations and talk to the Sheikh, hosts and charity to learn more. We hope this is an opportunity to create or re-kindle bonds with brothers/sisters in'sha'Allah.
