About this Event

Are you ready to embark on a literary journey alongside our adoption lounge resident cats? Tenth Life Cat Rescue is thrilled to invite you to our first-ever Book Club, where we'll delve into the enchanting world of "The Travelling Cat Chronicles" by Hiro Arikawa.

Join us on Saturday, June 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM as we gather for an afternoon of literary discussion, cat cuddles, and community. Conversation will be led by cat and book lover alike, Sydney Cimarolli , who not only works at our adoption lounge but teaches local creative writing classes!

"The Travelling Cat Chronicles" is a heartwarming tale that follows the journey of Nana the cat and his beloved owner, Satoru, as they traverse the Japanese countryside in search of a new home. It's a story that celebrates the bonds between humans and their feline companions, and we can't wait to share our thoughts and feelings about it with all of you.

To reserve your spot at our Book Club, simply make a $25 donation, which will directly support our mission and make a tangible difference in the lives of cats in need, allowing us to provide them with the veterinary care, love, and shelter they deserve.

We look forward to welcoming you to our adoption lounge for an afternoon of literary delight and cat camaraderie. Together, let's celebrate the magic of storytelling and the special bond we share with our beloved cats.

To prepare you for a fun Book Club experience, here are a few important things to remember:

  • Book Club begins at 1:00PM and will run until 2:30PM.
  • Doors open 15 minutes before the event at 12:45PM.
  • Please try to arrive early to get cozy ... and hang out with kitties!
  • Please note that doors will close at 1:00PM. Stragglers will not be admitted once Book Club begins so don't dawdle!
  • If you're allergic to cats, please remember to take your meds because kitties may be all up in your grill.
