For next session, we are going to the heart of Rome to spend some time with the poet Ovid. Written around the year AD 8, The Metamorphoses is a definitive compendium of Greco-Roman Gods, heroes, and myths. I personally recommend the prose translation of Mary Innes, but you are more than welcome to get any editions and/or translations that you wish.
What to expect:
→Have a lively discussion on Greco-Roman myths
→Learn more about Ovid and the neoterics.
Afterwards we might head to a bar nearby bar and hang out.
Frequency: Every 2nd Monday of the Month
