Central Library and Central Print are teaming up for an engaging pair of creative workshops that offer hands-on experiences for participants interested in book arts, printing, and typography. Participants will explore folding and binding techniques to craft a personalized book. Whether you’re a book lover, print enthusiast, or just love getting crafty, Beyond the Bindery has something fun and creative for everyone.Part 1, Accordion Structures: Bookbinding
This workshop at Central Library will give you the skills to make several book forms with simple tools and suggestions for making additional books at home. Try your hands at using a bone folder, awl, and needle and thread to put together a pamphlet book. Learn several ways to turn one sheet of paper into an accordion-folded book with a ruler, bone folder and scissors.
**Registration for this program will open on April 2 at 11am.
