Bonsai Terrarium Workshop

This bonsai terrarium is a living symbol of harmony — thoughtfully designed with a perfectly scaled tropical bonsai, preserved moss and raw crystals nestled throughout to represent the strength and individuality that exist within our community when we work together.

In this workshop, you'll learn about tropical bonsai care in a terrarium and handcraft your own living art to take home. We will carefully sculpt each terrarium for optimal care and genuine beauty. The preserved moss will create a lush, timeless landscape. The raw crystals add grounding energy and natural texture. At the center, the bonsai tree stands as a reminder that with care and connection, even something delicate can flourish. Depending on seasonality, tree types will not always be the same but will be tropical bonsai with the same care needs.

Instructor Bio

Carmeanna is an experienced operator, instructor and performance artist. Our resident Bonsai enthusiast, she has extensive experience building fun yet educational curriculums for all age groups. While her bonsai experience in practice is a decade long, her love of the art dates back to childhood.She is a Member of the Midwest Bonsai Society, Prairie State Bonsai Society and holds a B.A. in communications, with a theater minor. She resides in Chicago, IL.
