About this Event
The word “Bon-sai” is a Japanese term which, literally translated, means “planted in a container.” This art form is derived from an ancient Chinese horticultural practice thousands of years ago, part of which was then redeveloped under the influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism. The goal of growing a Bonsai is to create a miniaturized but realistic representation of nature in the form of a tree.
Join us along with Missionwell Collective to create your own bonsai in the serene setting of our historic Japanese Garden. Tools, dirt, containers and trees will be provided. Tea and light bites will be provided.
