The Durga Puja of Calcutta has been declared an Intangible World Heritage by UNESCO. This walk gives a history of the household Durga Puja celebrations in eleven houses of Calcutta. Each of them has a history going back to the 1700s or 1800s, when Calcutta was under East India Company or British rule.
