Bone to be Wild!

Zoo schoolers, don your costume, bring your trick-or-treat bag, and get ready for a “wild” night out. Parents can enjoy a kid-free evening while the kids enjoy the zoo! Kids will love making their way through the not-so-scary Zoo, exploring all the SPOOK-tacular decorations safely on our Zoo Walk loops system! They will enjoy a pizza dinner, meet some of our creepy, crawly animal friends, trick-or-treating, and stop along the way for crafts, stories, games, and more.

General Information

•Date: Saturday, October 23, 2021

•Registration Ends: Thursday, October 21, 2021

•Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM [Drop off begins at 3:45 PM & Pick up begins at 6:45 PM]

•Fee: $40 per child, to be paid prior to the day of the event. Acceptable payment methods include: Cash, Debit/Credit Card, or Check. (Ticket price includes Zoo admission, animal presentations, dinner, many crafts, activities, and games.)

NOTE: You will be contacted to confirm and pay prior to the day of the event. If you are a current student, we can also charge the account on file in your student's Tuition Express account.

Participants:

This event is open to all current WSZS students, alumni, and siblings! In order to register, all participants must be 10 years old or younger and toilet-trained.

All participants must be preregistered prior to the event.

What to Bring:

Become eek-o-friendly and help the San Antonio Zoo’s conservation efforts to reduce waste by bringing your own trick-or-treat bag and reusable water bottle from home!

What to Wear:

We love costumes, especially animal costumes. Please refrain from wearing masks and kindly stay away from outfits that are scary or gory. Eerie, mysterious, and WILD are all perfectly fine.

Where to Go:

San Antonio Zoo Education Center

Following Governor Abbott’s outline, parents will remain in their car during drop-off and pick-up. Zoo staff and signs will help parents navigate the drop-off/pick-up car line. WSZS staff will greet you at your passenger’s side window to verify any needed information and will escort your child between your vehicle and their group. Please remain in your car. During pick-up, you will need your photo ID to verify pick-up authorization for each child.

Safety Measures

•Masks are recommended for all participants while indoors.

•All staff, while indoors, will be required to wear face coverings that cover the nose and mouth during the program.

•Drop off and pick up will be conducted in a drive-through manner.

•Participants will have regularly scheduled hand washing breaks, and hand sanitizer will be available in activity spaces.

Cancellations:

All sales are final. No refunds will be offered unless program is cancelled by Will Smith Zoo School.
