Come join Kids Acting With Purpose for the 2nd annual performance of “Bone Soup: A Kwanzaa Story” written by Jessica Smith and directed by ShaVonne Davis. Bone is a magical play about the citizens of Culture Kingdom who use the seven principles of Kwanzaa to uplift their community. Bring the entire family to experience a youth musical theater performance and the Culture Queen as she uses her wisdom to spark creativity and revitalize the community.
Two performances are scheduled on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, followed by one final performance on December 8th at 4:00pm. All performance will take place at the Jean McClung Middle School Auditorium, located at 3000 Forest Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76112. Tickets purchased in advance are a $10.00 donation each with the option to donate more. Tickets purchased at the door are $15.00 each. All attendees ages 3+ are required to have a ticket. This production is the ending performace of our Fall 2024 Kids Acting with Purpose musical theatre program provided for free to underserved youth in the city of Fort Worth. During the program, participants explore acting, singing, and dancing from industry professionals in efforts to teach creative expression and develop essential professional, social, and life skills through the performing arts.
Kids Acting With Purpose is organized by Fort Worth based non-profit org Maroon 9 Community Enrichment Organization. Maroon 9 is dedicated to curating and cultivating programming for at-risk youth throughout Fort Worth and surrounding communities.
