REMS technology (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry) is radiation-free, quick (just 1–2 minutes per scan) and not only measures bone density but also analyses bone microarchitecture—the fine structure of trabecular and cortical bone. From this, it generates a Fragility Score, which helps predict fracture risk more accurately than Bone Mineral Density alone.
