Bollywood Funk with Kimaya | NYC Dance Workshop

Please arrive 5 mins early so we can jump right into things and maximize your time to learn the choreo!

This workshop will be rooted in a mix of bollywood and hiphop/open style movements, to an upbeat bollywood song! All levels welcome - previous dance experience suggested but not required. This class is meant to be a safe space for you to learn and grow; you can expect to learn a combo that you'll have time to then practice and (optionally) perform at the end of class.

Kimaya (@kimakeitrane on Instagram) is a dancer and choreographer in SF. She has experience spanning kathak (Indian classical) to hiphop and jazz but enjoys bollywood funk the most as it merges the catchy iconic hits of Bollywood with groovy stylistic movements referencing all different styles including commercial.
