About this Event
Kinship and Young Parents Day is a community-centered event dedicated to celebrating and supporting young parents and all family types in the Albuquerque area.
This special day is designed to uplift, educate, and empower all families as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenting. Through a series of workshops, families will have the opportunity to learn how doulas can support their parenting journey beyond birth, and engage in meaningful discussions around family well-being and self-care.
The event will also feature local vendors and organizations offering resources specifically for families, including childcare support, healthcare access, mental health services, and more. Our goal is to create a welcoming and affirming space where families feel seen, supported, and connected to a broader community of care.
Together, we can help ensure that every families feels equipped, informed, and valued on their parenting journey.

Info: Bold Futures Change Warriors and Black Leaders Circle leaders will lead a community-centered conversation about what kinship means and the important role it plays in our families and communities. Together, they will explore the many ways people create family, care for one another, and build supportive networks beyond traditional definitions of family. This presentation will celebrate all families and caregivers, creating an inclusive space where different experiences of kinship are recognized, respected, and valued.

The Journey Will be Colorful: Youth Stories of Reproductive Justice
Info: Bold Futures’ Camp Revolution youth will share their coloring book, The Journey Will Be Colorful: NM Youth Stories for Reproductive Justice. They will share stories, experiences, and the creativity behind its creation. Through art and storytelling, they’ll explore how family and community and reproductive justice connect and why youth voices belong at the center of these conversations.
