After what feels like far too long, we’re back in Montréal this summer for the 2022 edition of one of Canada’s most iconic festivals, Piknic Électronik. A long-running proving ground for emerging Canadian talent and host to international stars from around the globe, Piknic is a highlight of the city’s rave calendar. We’ve picked a heavy-hitting lineup to match the energy of our return. Dance music royalty Armand Van Helden returns for a rare live broadcast. A resident of Berghain’s Panorama Bar, Paramida’s percussive, acid-soaked sound nestles in with MTL local Priori’s ruff ‘n tuff house vibes. Jenifa Mayanja echoes the rays of the summer sun with soulful euphoria, and Montréal’s own Laurence Matte throws slinky, low-slung dub techno into the mix.
