Embedded in your posture there is a story of patterns, lifestyle choices, and genetics. By developing the skill to analyze posture and anatomical structural relationships, we gain insight into how to create more balance in ourselves and others. In this Introduction to Bodyreading we will learn skills to analyze postural relationships, dive into possible causes and solutions for each, and highlight how your unique posture manifests in everyday life and in yoga postures. This workshop is great for anyone wanting to learn more about their unique body. It is especially pertinent for bodyworkers and yoga teachers who want to refine their ability to create more informed strategies in working with clients. As my teacher and Anatomy Trains founder Tom Myers says, "The bones tell the story, the soft tissue provides the strategy." Let's unveil what your posture says about you!
P.S. For greater accuracy in our bodyreadings, please wear comfortable undergarments or compression shorts. (If this does not feel comfortable to you, please dress to your comfort level.) This space will be one of analysis, not judgement, so come comfortable in your own skin!
