A performance exploring body stories through connection, flow, space, and transformation. All funds raised in this concert will be allocated to the Somatic Graduate Program scholarships.
The mission of the Somatic Arts Community is to provide space to celebrate creative expressions. Our goal is to nurture integrity, aliveness, self-empowerment through community.
SAC is an annual student-directed event sponsored by the Somatic Counseling Program. Originally conceived in 1996 by Paola Faggella, a Dance/Movement Therapy student, and Janice Beard-Bull, former director of the Somatic Counseling department, the concert was created as an exploration of the interface between art-making and therapeutic training. Each year, the event brings students, family, faculty, and the Boulder community together to witness the creative and healing powers of embodied performance.
Student Creative Directors: Emma Dunlay, Ezra Untesher, and Teagan Lehrmann.
This is a performance with tickets to purchase. The doors will open at 6:30pm and the show will start at 7pm with a rough estimated run time of 90 min.
Naropa University welcomes participants with diverse abilities. If you require accommodations, please contact Kristin Anderson-Bohan at 303-546-3593 or [email protected] at least two weeks prior to the event.
