Body Song Workshop Series

Led by Elly Ball (AKA Arkaya), this workshop series will explore the dynamic relationship between the voice and the body. Inspired by somatic therapy, our goal is to connect the mind with the body to find what feels good while we sing and release blocks we may have that are keeping our voice from being full and free.

The workshops will combine experiential learning with practical theory, covering a wide range of topics from singing technique, Eastern philosophy and metaphysical systems to sound healing fundamentals.

This series is perfect for you if you are looking to:

• Learn how to practice voice in a spiritual way that still yields results
• Feel more confident in your expression and communication
• Overcome negative thoughts or blocks you have around your voice
• Dip your toes into the world of healing sound and music therapy
• Expand your mindfulness knowledge and skillset

If you’ve missed a workshop, don’t hesitate to still come out! We still do a small review at the top of each workshop, and offer time at the end for conversation.

In each workshop we will:

• Relax and release holding patterns in the body that may be affecting our voice
• Feel how vibration moves in the body through different sounds and frequencies
• Learn the basic sounds associated to the bio-energy centres of the body for emotional healing
• Explore physical expressions of sound, letting go of retraining thoughts and letting our bodies move freely
• Come together in harmonious song, feeling the shift of our time together :)
