Body Reading: Understanding Your Architecture
The body keeps the score.
From a Katonah Yoga perspective, our structure reflects our habits - the way we sit, stand, carry, compensate, protect, overwork, and move through life. We cross the same leg, carry the bag on the same shoulder, lean into the same hip, repeat emotional and physical tendencies. Over time, these patterns shape our architecture.
The body follows pattern.
If we want to create change, we need to change pattern.
In this two-hour workshop, we explore posture, proportion, and structure in a practical and accessible way. You will learn how to “read” your own body - and others - not as judgment, but as information.
This work is especially supportive for:
