Art 634 presents Body p+ARTs. - A Body Positive Art Show. Exploring the human experience through diverse mediums, this show emphasizes how art can both accurately depict and profoundly distort the human body.
Body p+ARTs. explores the intimate relationship between art and the human form, and allows space for the body to express the stories that link us, while also defining our unique lived experiences.
Join us Saturday, September 19th from 6pm until 9pm for this one night event. This show is only for those 18 years of age and older, and entry to The Venue is $20. Light refreshments are available.
Guests are encouraged to overaccentuate their favorite body parts. From extra-long eye lashes and over-sized lips, to gender-bending curves through creatively thought out attire. Please come dressed to impress, however we kindly ask that genitalia remain covered. This is a no photography event. A coat rack will be available.
Proceeds from Body p+ARTs. will benefit The Aware Shelter, however this event is not directly affiliated with the shelter itself.
All Saints Day Tattoo will be offering themed flash throughout the event. Please visit their page directly for more information as the event nears.
To submit art for this show, please email [email protected] by midnight on Monday, September 7th. Please include pictures of your work, size of the piece, and the medium. There is no limit to the number of pieces entered. All art will be reviewed after the submission deadline, and artists notified shortly thereafter. Selected art must be dropped off on Sunday, September 13th from 3-5p.
