BODY HEAT (1981)

It’s hot the night Ned Racine (William Hurt) meets Matty Walker (Kathleen Turner). She’s married…unhappily. A steamy affair soon gives way to a plan—knock off her hubby, take his dough for themselves. This Double Indemnity riff brings the noir spirit into the ‘80s, where the Hays Code is but a memory.
This screening is presented in conjunction with the sold-out course American Neo-Noir: Reimagining the Classic Noir Archetypes, taught by Paul Wright, Ph.D.
