---- Italian description below ----In this workshop we will practice skills (such as rolling, falling, releasing, and carrying weight) as well as focus on the building of connection using the tools and the vocabulary of Contact Improvisation (CI).
We will dance with and without contact, with the floor, in solos, duos or trios. Through playful exercises we will approach the various meetings, always with a focus on listening, both internally and externally.
We will research how we can nurture an approach to CI that starts and ends with a grounded sense of self. We will take time and space for this research – relating to ourselves, space, gravity and to others. And, we will dive into the joy of moving, of touch and of playful encounters.
Questions we might ask ourselves:
How can I pour my weight without pushing?
How can I keep listening to myself within an encounter?
What makes a dance joyful, free, and open for me?
This workshop is open for beginners as well as for people with experience in CI. The space is not wheelchair accessible.
CI holds a variety of possibilities - dances can be deep and calm, light, slow, playful, dynamic and everything in between. People with very different previous experiences can practice CI together.

The facilitator
Lena Maya Turek is a freelancer at the intersection of pedagogy, performance, and body work.
In recent years, her focus has been contemporary dance, contact improvisation, Play-Fight and somatic practices. She studied dance pedagogy in Vienna and holds a post-graduate diploma in Community Dance from Trinity-Laban, London. Lena deals with the topic of connection and connectivity in both her performative and pedagogical work.
She is a biodynamic cranio-sacral therapist, a non-dogmatic hatha-yoga teacher and a enthusiastic human with a mission to create safer spaces to support and foster relational bonds.
Within the field of CI she is especially passionate about consent work, the element of playfulness and surprise and qualities of deep listening, both within and outside of oneself.

Durante il workshop praticheremo delle abilità primarie come rotolare, cadere, rilasciare e portare peso e ci focalizzeremo sulla costruzione di connessioni corporee utilizzando gli strumenti e il vocabolario della Contact Improvisation (CI).
Danzeremo con e senza contatto, con il pavimento, in assoli, duo o trio. Attraverso esercizi ludici creeremo i presupposti per l’incontro con l’altr*, sempre con un'attenzione all'ascolto, sia interno che esterno.
Esploreremo e ricercheremo le modalità con le quali coltivare al meglio un approccio all'CI che inizia e finisce sempre con l’esperienza di una presenza, di uno stare che si radica.
Ci prenderemo tempo e spazio per questa ricerca - in relazione a noi stessi, allo spazio, alla gravità e agli altri. E ci immergeremo nella gioia del movimento, del tocco e degli incontri giocosi.
Domande che potremmo porci:
Come posso scaricare il mio peso senza spingere?
Come posso continuare ad ascoltare me stesso all'interno di un incontro?
Cosa rende una danza gioiosa, libera e aperta per me?
Questo workshop è aperto sia ai principianti che alle persone con esperienza in Ci.
Il CI offre una varietà di possibilità: le danze possono essere profonde e calme, leggere, lente, giocose, dinamiche e tutto ciò che sta in mezzo.

Lena Maya Turek è una danzatrice freelance con studi in pedagogia e performance.
Negli ultimi anni si è concentrata sulla danza contemporanea, sulla contact improvisation, sul Play-Fight e sulle pratiche somatiche.
Ha studiato pedagogia della danza a Vienna e ha conseguito un diploma post-laurea in Community Dance presso il Trinity-Laban di Londra. Lena affronta il tema della relazione tra corpi, sia in ambito performativo sia in quello pedagogico.
È una terapista cranio-sacrale biodinamica, un'insegnante di hatha-yoga non dogmatico e un'umana entusiasta con la missione di creare spazi più sicuri per sostenere e promuovere i legami relazionali.
Nel campo dell'CI è particolarmente attenta al tema del consenso sul corpo altrui, dell'elemento ludico e della sorpresa e di tutte le qualità che riguardano l'ascolto profondo, sia all'interno che all'esterno di sé.
