The Bobby Thompson Trio took the stage at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2015, preceding the launch of Thompson’s lauded album ‘Live at IOTA’, which was recorded in Arlington, Virginia. Following their tour along the east coast that summer, the Bobby Thompson Trio returned home and expanded their lineup by adding a keyboard player to enrich their sound, resulting in the album swiftly becoming a fan favorite. Tracks such as ‘Good Things That We Have’ and ‘Nobody’s Fool’ have become fan favorites, prompting numerous requests, and the album maintains substantial CD sales and online streaming numbers.
Bobby has opened for Marcus King, Jimmie Vaughan, Sue Foley, and The Iguanas in the past few years, and garnered the attention of Gary Clark Jr in 2013
