A Taking Over está finalmente de regresso com mais uma grande celebração para espantar definitivamente a pandemia. Depois de 3 anos de interregno desta que já é uma das festas icónicas da produtora, chegou a altura de voltar com força!
Nesta ocasião vamos continuar a celebrar a vida, obra e música do rei do Reggae, Robert Nesta Marley e, desta vez, a aposta é um formato 100% Nacional.
Para tal, e em parceria com a Dub Arena, preparámos mais um line up bem quente para esta que promete ser mais uma noite inesquecível. São 2 bandas ao vivo, 2 Live Act e 2 Dj sets, 7.30h de música com mais de 15 artistas!
Para esta edição vamos ter:
Freddy Locks
Um dos nomes incontornáveis da cena Reggae em Portugal e um dos poucos que continua ativo com banda e a criar música nova. Para este evento irá apresentar-se em quarteto com um concerto especial estreando músicas inéditas tocadas ao vivo e algumas outras surpresas.
Kussondulola (Live act)
Mais um dos nomes maiores do reggae em Portugal. Um dos pioneiros da música Jamaicana feita em português irá estar presente num formato live act em soundsystem mas sempre com aquela energia característica e trazendo os clássicos que todos conhecemos.
Big Up Reggae Tribute Band
Conhecida sobretudo pelas suas atuações de grande qualidade e entrega e pelo seu repertório delicioso para qualquer amante dos sons Jamaicanos. Irão proporcionar-nos uma viagem por alguns dos grandes clássicos do reggae e ainda fazer uma homenagem sentida a Bob Marley tocando alguns dos seus temas mais apreciados.
Jah Version
A dupla portuguesa já dispensa apresentações. Dub Didi e Zacky Man estão na vanguarda do que se faz em Portugal em termos de DUB e com cada mais reconhecimento internacional. Vão aproveitar a ocasião para estrear algumas das suas novas produções e prometem incendiar a pista do Titanic.
Roots Dimension Soundsystem
Mais um pioneiro, mais um nome incontornável desta vez do soundsystem em Portugal. Continua ativo e sempre com muita dedicação à causa. Irá trazer o seu sistema de som artesanal e, com mais de 10000watts de potencia, promete ajudar a manter as boas vibrações na casa.
Lady G Brown
Por fim, mas não menos importante, uma Dj/Selecta que já anda nisto há muito tempo e não deixa os seus créditos por mãos alheias. Uma verdadeira Lady do reggae em Portugal e uma fera das pistas de dança, os seus sets são afinados na perfeição e irá trazer-nos uma importante perspetiva e sensibilidade feminina.

Taking Over is finally back with yet another big celebration to put a stop to the pandemic for good. After 3 years of interregnum of what is already one of their's iconic parties, the time has come to come back with full force!
On this occasion, we will continue to celebrate the life, work and music of the King of Reggae, Robert Nesta Marley and, this time, the bet is on a 100% Portuguese format.
To this end, and in partnership with Dub Arena, we have prepared yet another hot lineup for what promises to be yet another unforgettable night. There are 2 live bands, 2 Live Act and 2 Dj sets, 7.30h of music with more than 15 artists!
For this edition we will have:
Freddy Locks
One of the unavoidable names of the Reggae scene in Portugal and one of the few that is still active with a band and creating new music. For this event, he will perform in a quartet with a special concert debuting new songs played live and some other surprises.
Kussondulola (Live act)
Another one of the biggest names in reggae in Portugal. One of the pioneers of Jamaican music made in Portuguese will be present in a live act format in soundsystem but always with that characteristic energy and bringing the classics we all know.
Big Up Reggae Tribute Band
Known above all for her performances of great quality and delivery and for her delicious repertoire for any lover of Jamaican sounds. They will provide us with a journey through some of the great classics of reggae and still make a heartfelt tribute to Bob Marley playing some of his most appreciated themes.
Jah Version
The Portuguese duo already needs no introduction. Dub Didi and Zacky Man are at the forefront of what is done in Portugal in terms of DUB and with increasing international recognition. They will take advantage of the occasion to premiere some of their new productions and promise to set the Titanic runway on fire.
Roots Dimension Soundsystem
One more pioneer, one more unavoidable name this time of the soundsystem in Portugal. He remains active and always with a lot of dedication to the cause. He will bring his homemade sound system and, with more than 10,000 watts of power, he promises to help keep the good vibes in the house.
Lady G Brown
Last but not least, a Dj/Selecta who has been doing this for a long time and doesn't leave her credits in the hands of others. A true reggae lady in Portugal and a beast of the dance floor, her sets are tuned to perfection and will bring us an important female perspective and sensibility.
