Board Games Day – Play All the Things (ARPG)

Join us for a full-day board games event hosted by the Auckland Roleplaying Guild!

This is a relaxed, social day focused on playing as many different board games as possible with as many different people as possible. Throughout the event, you’ll contribute points toward your team by trying new games, meeting new players, and racking up wins.

This event is designed so that everyone participates in games for the full day — there are no side activities, just board gaming.

Standard ticket sales close at 6:00pm on Friday.
Door sales open at 8:00am on Saturday (30 minutes before doors open), however food availability cannot be guaranteed for door purchases.

Flexible Seating Ticket: For attendees happy to be placed into games as needed to help keep tables running smoothly. You’ll still get to play a variety of games throughout the day.

Ticket prices are set to cover food for the day and basic event costs.

Late arrivals are welcome — you can still join the event after it begins.

Players do not sign up for specific games in advance

You’ll be assigned to one of two teams on arrival

Throughout the day, you’ll:

• Join different board games
• Rotate between tables and groups
• Play with as many different people as possible

Teams earn points based on participation and results across games

Some attendees (flexible tickets) may be assigned to specific games to help fill tables

You can arrive late or leave early if needed — we’ll slot you into games as space becomes available

• A friendly, club-scale atmosphere

We’ll be bringing a mix of easy-to-learn favourites and slightly deeper strategy games, with a focus on games that play well in a social, rotating format.

No prior board game experience is needed — we’re happy to help teach games.

Food will be provided for attendees as part of the event. We plan to offer simple lunch items such as club sandwiches and mini quiches.

There will also be complimentary snacks and drinks available throughout the day.

A majority of each ticket goes toward covering food, alongside venue and event costs.

• 8:30am – Doors open, check-in, team assignment
• 9:00am – Event start and introductions
• 9:15am – 12:45pm – Morning games session
• 12:45pm – 1:15pm – Lunch break
• 1:15pm – 4:00pm – Afternoon games session
• 4:15pm – Wrap-up and prizes

Saturday parking is available at the Owen G Glenn Building (OGGB):

• $6 flat rate for the day
• Pay-and-display parking
• Short walk to the venue
