Board Game Designer Night @ Board Games Arboretum in West End Toronto
About this Event
Changeling Event Type: General Event.
What to Expect: A board game designer night is an event where board-game creators gather to playtest with the general public their prototypes before they are published! The goal is to exchange feedback, brainstorm ideas, and meet other designers and gamers who are passionate about the hobby. Depending on your interest for the event, there are different roles you can participate as,
- Designers: If you have a game design you want playtested, in any stage of physical development, you can bring it in, and we'll do our best to ensure every designer gets their turn on the table over the course of the event.
- New to Design: Or if you're new to designing or curious to learn more about the intricacies of what goes into designing a game, we'll have a table designated for discussing what goes into game design and workshoping game ideas.
- Playtesters: If you are a gaming enthusiast and want to come by to try out new games and help to shape the direction of future Canadian games, this is an amazing opportunity to meet the designers and be some of the first to play new and upcoming games. If there are not enough designers for a given event, we have a selection of games to practice playtesting to get familiar with analizing games and providing construtive feedback.
General Admission: Tickets and tables for this event include opportunities to playtest games and have your games playtested with an on-site game expert and designer to help you with player introductions and coordinating the games being playtested. They also include an opportunity to sit and discuss game design more broadly with an expert.
