About this Event
BMDH (Blacktown Mount Druitt Hospitals) Case Based Learning Day is an annual academic event held at Blacktown Hospital.
Aimed at Registrars, Interns, RMOs and SRMOs, the program covers key concepts in general medicine and various subspecialties. It is designed to equip junior doctors with the confidence to approach these cases on the ward or in the Emergency Department.
The program explores common yet challenging cases experienced by physicians in clinical practice. Examples include how to approach an elderly patient on the ward who becomes hypotensive and hypoxic, and how to manage a respiratory patient who requires NIV.
The 2022 program involves a series of interactive presentations from leading experts across a range of specialties including cardiology, nephrology, respiratory medicine, O&G, gastroenterology, geriatrics and paediatrics.
