What you'll learn:

🔹 Ways for followers to add flair to their spins/turns
🔹 How leaders can play with momentum and deliver a clear message when asking for a spin.
Think you know what message your spins are sending? Let's put it to the test! Playful but challenging class to level up your spins and embody blues in a new way.
Ideal for dancers of all levels, whether you lead, follow, or switch!
Familiarity with body awareness, blues pulse, turn technique, and weight shifts/control is expected.

Who is Charlie?
Charlie is a versatile dancer; they can lead/follow in styles such as Blues, Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, Fusion, and more. Instructing movement and mindfulness classes since 2016, they have taught & choreographed throughout the Western Hemisphere.
As the founder of Rhizome Roots Studio, she is dedicated to Building Community through Movement, and is an expert consultant on safer spaces.
Charlie believes there are only 2 types of people in the world: unpracticed dancers and practiced dancers, and to be the latter, all you need is a little bit of practice.
Who is Jess?
Jess is the President of Bluetopia and loves sharing her passion for Blues, both on and off the dance floor. Her favorite part of the Blues is the ability to connect and share in a moment with friends, new and old alike. Jess has danced Lindy, Balboa, and dabbled in a few other studio dance forms throughout her life. When she isn't dancing, you might find her cooking meals for loved ones, or reading a good book while snuggled up with her three cats.
