Another cracking line-up. This month The Swaps will be joined by the fabulous Greg Coulson and local legends The Foregate Brothers.We have another fabulous evening of top-quality music lined up for you in April. A triple-headline bill of the very best of British blues.
The Swaps need no introduction. Adam, James and Beth will be performing and, if the stars align, Tomo will be joining them too - the finest harminica-playing painter and decorator around.
They will be joined this month by the wonderful Greg Coulson , a pehnomenal pianist and singer-songwriter. Plus a very welcome return to the Foregate Brothers and an all-star jam at the end.
The next four monthly blues clubs are already sold out and this promises to be no exception.
Doors 7pm. Start 7:30pm. Advance tickets just £10. All ticket money goes to the musicians.
Greg Coulson is a British musical powerhouse - an expressive singer-songwriter and dynamic performer who blends soul and classic rock with the groove of blues, funk and jazz. Known for his mesmerising stage presence and unique sound, Greg has quickly established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting and versatile musicians.
Beyond his solo work, Greg has collaborated with some of the industry’s greatest legends such as the iconic Burt Bacharach. His impressive résumé also includes celebrated artists: Morcheeba, The Blockheads, The Selecter, Lilly Moore, Tom Grennan, and Sway. As a member of renowned rock band Spiritualized, he has graced stages across America, even opening for the legendary Queens of the Stone Age.
The Foregate Brothers will be returning for their third performance at our blues club. They were brilliant last time. With a unique style, they are a quirky and irreverent guitar duo playing the lighter side of blues and jazz. They will relax your soul and take you back in time to when the melodies were sweet and the lyrics had meaning, so come and join them for some mellow jazzy blues....or is it bluesy jazz? No one really knows - all we do know is that you'll love it! And maybe guest vocals too.
