Class Descriptions below! These classes are perfect if it is your first time taking a blues class, if you took our last class series and you want to learn more, or even if you are an intermediate dancer and want to polish your fundamentals!
These lessons will be located in the dance studio at the North Dale Recreation Center, just a 5 minute drive from The Blues Saloon where there is a free blues jam every Tuesday until 11 pm. It's a great spot to go practice your dance skills on the dance floor. We hope you'll head over with us!

Class Descriptions:
Class 1: The Blues Aesthetic
This class will teach the foundation of Blues dancing. We will go through where blues dancing came from and how to put the music into our bodies. Perfect for someone who has never taken a blues lesson to get their bearings and perfect for a seasoned dancer to dig deeper into their basics and improve every area of their dancing!
Class 2: Dynamic Movement
In this class we will practice a few different types of movements and work on how to add momentum and shaping.
Class 3: Rhythms
This class will focus on different types of rhythms we can use in our dancing and different ways we can apply them.
Class 4: Storytelling
The Blues is all about telling stories. In this class we will learn about basic blues structure and how we can use it to inform our dance. We will also work on what it looks like to put emotion in movement.
