Free concert featuring blues and soul sponsored by City Council District 8, Friends of Rickwood and the Magic City Blues society. Local bands Ms. Johnnie Nathan, Kid Sly and national touring bands Keith Johnson & the Big Muddy, Piper & the Hard Times and soul blues legend Johnny Rawls. In fact, the term “soul blues” was invented to describe Rawls music. With a career spanning more than 50 years, he’s done it all. He’s an internationally recognized recording artist, music producer, and songwriter who tours extensively throughout North America and overseas.Bring your chairs or blankets to make yourself comfortable. No outside alcohol allowed. Food truck and onsite refreshments.
