Bluebird at the Symphony brings the intimate spirit of Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe to the Alabama Symphony Orchestra stage. Meet Music City Songwriters Live in Birmingham!
Grammy Award winner Natalie Hemby, CMA and ACM Award winner Lee Thomas Miller, and Grammy nominee Wendell Mobley bring their songs to the Jemison Concert Hall stage, backed by lush live orchestrations played by ASO musicians. Miller joins Taylor Swift, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Camp, and Bruce Channel as a 2026 inductee into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame on October 26. Together, Hemby, Miller, and Mobley have penned more than 25 #1 songs, including “Pontoon” (Little Big Town), “There Goes My Life” (Kenny Chesney), “Bluebird” (Miranda Lambert), “Whiskey and You” (Chris Stapleton), “I Know You Won’t” (Carrie Underwood), and “You’re Gonna Miss This” (Trace Adkins). Expect to hear favorites from Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Kacey Musgraves, Jason Aldean, and more, reimagined for symphony.
Since opening its doors in 1982, the Bluebird Cafe has become internationally known as the venue where songs and songwriters are the stars. Its intimate space and quiet, listening-room atmosphere have given generations of writers a place to be heard and revered for their talent. Many careers have taken flight there, and audiences have gotten a rare look at how a great song comes to life.
Now that magic makes the trip from a Nashville café to the symphony hall. It’s a night of heartfelt storytelling, unforgettable melodies, and the full power of a live orchestra.
