About this Event
Residents living in the original blue zones share common principles called the Power 9® - healthy lifestyle habits that help them live longer, healthier, happier lives. Gardening encompasses several Power 9 principles, such as Move Naturally, Downshift & Plant Slant.
Learn how home and urban agriculture can lead to a longer, healthier life. This workshop offers science-based information on the relationship between health and agriculture, empowering you to improve your wellness and make healthier choices through food production and gardening. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about cultivating your own food with Ayman Mostafa, Ph.D., interim Director of Maricopa County Cooperative Extension and Director of the UA Center for Urban Smart Agriculture.
