KIDS IN THE KITCHEN: HANDS-ON COOKING DEMO

In this hands-on cooking class, Junior Chef participants will learn a variety of culinary skills, including basic knife skills, food safety practices, measuring ingredients, following recipes, and cooking techniques specific to each dish. Additionally, they will learn about the importance of healthy eating and how to prepare nutritious and delicious meals.

FAQ

What age group is the cooking class suitable for? Our cooking classes are designed for children aged 9-17 who are eager to learn and have fun in the kitchen.

Do kids need any prior cooking experience to participate? No prior cooking experience is required! Our classes are tailored to accommodate beginners and seasoned junior chefs alike. Our instructors will provide step-by-step guidance to ensure everyone can participate and enjoy the cooking experience.

What will my child learn in the cooking class? Kids will learn a variety of culinary skills, including basic knife skills, food safety practices, measuring ingredients, following recipes, and cooking techniques specific to each dish. Additionally, they will learn about the importance of healthy eating and how to prepare nutritious and delicious meals.

Will my child need to bring any cooking equipment or ingredients? All necessary cooking equipment and ingredients will be provided for the class. Participants are only required to bring their enthusiasm and appetite for learning.

Are the recipes suitable for kids with dietary restrictions or food allergies? All recipes will be nut and meat free. We strive to accommodate various food allergies but may not be able to accommodate every individual’s dietary needs. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies during registration.

Is there a dress code for the cooking class? We recommend participants wear comfortable clothing that can get messy and closed-toe shoes suitable for cooking activities.

What safety measures are in place during the cooking class? The safety of our participants is our top priority but we are mindful that accidents sometimes do happen. Our instructors are trained in food safety practices and will supervise all cooking activities closely. Additionally, we provide age-appropriate kitchen tools and equipment.

Will parents/guardians be able to observe or participate in the class? Parents/guardians are welcome to observe the class. We encourage parents/guardians to allow their children to fully engage in the hands-on cooking experience with the guidance of our experienced instructors.
