BLUE WORLD and the Australian National Maritime Museum are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize celebrations, as part of National Science Week 2026.

Highlights of the evening include presentations from guest speakers Lawrence Chlebeck (Humane World for Animals) and Danielle Ryan (National Parks Association of NSW); and a musical performance by Anaiya Mahony.

Join us for the Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize 2026.

Hear from marine ecologist and marine biologist, Lawrence Chlebeck. 2025 Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize recipient, Danielle Ryan from National Parks Association of NSW will talk about the 30 x 30 NSW initiative. And joining us for a wonderful live performance is singer-songwriter Anaiya Mahony.

After formal presentations, enjoy light refreshments in the Tasman Light Gallery and a chance to wander the museum galleries and enjoy all the latest exhibitions.

About the Valerie Taylor Ocean Prize

Inspiring wonder and support for our ocean, the prize was established by Blue World to honour the achievements of ground-breaking conservationist and marine advocate, Valerie Taylor, throughout the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
