On 15th November, Blue Shield Denmark, in collaboration with UNESCO DK, will mark the 70th anniversary of the 1954 Hague Convention on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict.
The anniversary offers an opportunity to reflect collectively on the threats to our cultural heritage and how best to safeguard it. Unfortunately, we live in unpredictable times, where the risk of crisis and war is something we must contend with.
The conference will focus on contemporary threats to cultural heritage and the need for a stronger cooperation. We will discuss the current security situation and hear experiences from our Nordic colleagues who are actively working on preparedness in the cultural heritage sector.
Attendance at the event is free, and you are welcome to bring a colleague.
We look forward to seeing you at Heritage Friday 2024.
