The Winter Solstice has been marked and mused on and puzzled over and reveled about by wise elders and stone builders and mystics and keepers of the old ways since the days of hunting vermin and mud-thatch hut living. This Sunday, 21st December at the Northside Tavern, the Blue Rock Boys will come out of our mud-thatch huts to entertain you with bold Irish songs and melodies, homaging the shortest day of the year, hoisting the return of the sun, toasting the holy and unholy, and conducting a proper wild ruckus to celebrate your holiday season. And maybe roast a sacrificial vermin if we see one around. The cost is no money. But have yourself a libation to lube your singing and stomping and joyful noise. 8 - 10 PM or until the fuel runs out.
