Blue Notes of Broken Soil, coming to Contemporary Arts of Tulsa on Saturday, July 18'h, is an immersive, multi-disciplinary performance blending nature-infused musical stylings by genre bending multimedia collective Crescent Window led by vocalist, Annie Ellicott, with lyrical ballet, and live action-painting into a visceral eco-narrative performed by choreographer Justine Rusk.
Event Overview
Step into a fully immersive, 360-degree soundscape where the boundary between audience and performer dissolves. Blue Notes of Broken Soil is surrounded by the audience, trapping them inside a raw, evolving ecosystem. At the center stands a towering scaffolding matrix, flanked by multi-leveled, suspended clear panes that serve as a transparent canvas. This striking setting hosts a journey of harmonious play, human carelessness, nature's violent retaliation & ultimate ecological rebirth.
