Revel in another season of world-class live music in a stunning outdoor wine country setting. Blue Note Napa's Summer Sessions concert series is back at The Meritage Resort and Spa, showcasing a lineup of diverse and electrifying artists including The Head and the Heart.
The Head and the Heart is an American indie folk band formed in the summer of 2009 by Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell. Their sixth album Aperture is a self-produced record that “satisfied no one but themselves”. After tossing out the codex that dictated who did what, Russell ceded that role to everyone in the band, shooing away siloed work for a highly collaborative approach where everyone hatched tunes together in a room or passed ideas between coasts. More than any other record ever by The Head and the Heart, Aperture is fortified by the sense of beginning again and is The Head and the Heart’s most vital and poignant album.
